Hello,

I just bought a beuatiful yellow canary, but I feel the cage that they reccomened is to small for him to fly.  Plus, it is ugly.  Can you recommend a nice cage for him that is nice to look at too.  I was looking at the contemporary cage that is 24 inches long for $295.00.  I just want to make sure I buy a cage that he can’t fit through to get out either.  Please let me know your recommendations that is best for him and for decor.

Thanks,

Teresa

Hi Teresa

Thanx for the email

The Contemporary Cage by Marvelous should be fine for your new Canary. The ½ inch bar spacing will insure the safety of your new feathered friend.

The dual color look makes it very attractive in almost any home décor.

To stay on topic, Mouse (TAG) dunks food sometimes, but not always. My Indian Ringneck Parakeet does it with everything from Cheerios to Zupreem to Kaytee pellets…she even dunks her TOYS. I kid you not. Apparently, everything’s better with water droplets on it. Needless to say, I place several small water dishes in her cage and on her playgym for her and I change her water frequently. :)

My Reply: @Sandy - it’s unlikely the metal poisoning came from the water bottle holder - did you ever have the cage tested? I always question the metal toxicity diagnosis - because I hear it so often

Oh! Hi, Mitch! I missed your reply/question the other day! I’m sorry.
Didn’t test the cage…it’s…
