Sweet older “pup” needs home! With you?
Meet Fannie!
Fannie is a darling lady, about 8 years old, spayed, and weighs 28 pounds. We think she’s a border collie/ beagle mix. Fannie is house trained (house broken) very well-mannered in the home, and walks nicely on a leash. She sleeps through the night on her doggy bed. She’s been great with all the kids she’s met at adoption events around town. She will “sit” when asked, and likes to get tasty treats as a reward. Fannie can climb chain-link fencing (…you know how smart those border collies are!) so her new home will have to have a fence made of material that she can’t climb. She has participated in doggy play groups and we’ve observed that she can be picky sometimes about certain dogs getting up close and in “her space” but she doesn’t care about other dogs being around if they don’t crowd her. She isn’t really interested in cats one way or the other. What a great companion she would be for retired people, or a family with a more mellow home environment, or even for folks who travel in an RV. Just because she’s not a youngster doesn’t mean she shouldn’t have a new loving home, right? Call to make arrangements to meet Fannie and you just might decide to make her your new best friend forever. That would make her dreams come true. She is at a foster home in Oceanside. Her adoption fee is $150 and that includes her spay, vaccinations, and micro-chip identification.
