Saturday, February 20, 2010  (8 PM to 1 AM):  That’s Amore! Winter Social & Benefit Party for Homeless Pets

Party located at:

Love Your Pet, Inc.
2414 W. 14th Street (NW corner of 14th & Western)
Chicago, IL 60608

Join us for an evening of jazz, blues and soul from talented local artists and raise funds for a good cause! 

$10 admission at door includes 4 hours of talented bands, musicians, & DJs bringing you a night of jazz, blues, and soul, including Harlan Flo, Visionaire Band, E. Que Soul, DJ Black Juice, and more!

Showcase:  Pet parade of our adoptable pets at 11 PM!
Beverages ($1-$3) and buffet-style food plates ($5) featuring pizza by Damenzos will be available throughout the evening.

This is an all-ages event.  Valid ID required for alcoholic beverages.
No re-entry, outside beverages, food, coats, smoking, or pets permitted inside
Mandatory coat check: $2 (includes a take-home goody bag)
Fenced in parking: $5 or limited street parking available

Female Parakeet Bites Off Male’s Toe - Cage Suggestions

I have this flight cage for my two parakeets. Unfortunately, the female has bitten off (!!) the male’s toenail and I’ve separated them while he heals.
 

Is there any way to partition this cage? Then I could keep them together without endangering him.

Any other advice?

Indoor Bird Aviary Cage & Stand for Finch to Conure 32I am sorry to hear of your birds injury.

 

We have no divider that we can provide for the purpose you ask. Also, if the divider is barred or screened and the male lands on it, the female will have access to his toes again and can bite them again.

 

You pair may have to be separated permanently if they cannot get along.

 

Is one much older/younger than the other? Was the male very persistent in wanting to breed? Did the cage belong to the female first?

 

One thing you can try AFTER your male is fully healed in a separate cage.
